Last night my grandmother (age 103) wanted to treat me to dinner as a thank you for moving close to her. She was very excited to take me to the Tuesday night 2 for 1 at a local Mexican food restaurant. I thought it was a Tuesday night special, but found out it was senior’s night. My mother (age 75) thought perhaps I could not be part of the special since I was not a “senior.” She asked them about it and they said, “Anyone older than 50 is considered a senior.” My mother replied, “Good! My daughter just turned 50!”
There you have it, my first experience at being called a “senior!”
Well, other than being a senior in high school and college.
